Ian has over 35 years’ experience of the design and development of a wide range of new and refurbished buildings. During his career he has gained vast experience as project director for many large and prestigious projects and development of MEP schemes from concept through to completion, many of which include low energy technologies.

Ian specialises in stadia and leisure design and has worked upon many famous stadia projects including Old Trafford for Manchester United FC; Ashton Gate Stadium redevelopment for Bristol City FC, the City of Manchester Stadium for the 2002 Commonwealth Games; Maine Road, Manchester City FC’s old stadium; The Reebok Stadium for Bolton Wanderers FC Liverpool FC’s new stadium design, Leicester Tigers RFC’s Welford Road Stadium and Wolverhampton Wanderer’s Molineux Stadium.

Other examples of major projects for which Ian has been responsible for the MEP Design include the BREEAM Outstanding rated Co-op Group HQ in Manchester, a £340m scheme design for Liverpool FC’s new stadium, Greater Manchester Police V department Headquarters building a 100sqft building with ground source heat pump system, Wakefield Town Centre development a £150m mixed use scheme incorporating Retail, Library, Residential and Offices.
